Request for Expressions of Interest
The Turret Arts Space Society is seeking expressions of interest from Architects and/or Architecture firms for the renovation of a heritage building at 1588 Barrington Street (known as the Khyber Building).

Project
The current plan and goals are described here, but key elements interested parties should include and consider:
Design and project management for the renovation of 1588 Barrington Street as a multi-use arts building that includes multipurpose rooms, a gallery, retail spaces, and offices.
The design must include an elevator and additional accessibility features to make all floors of the building wheelchair accessible.
Design must consider and finalize current architectural plans developed by Peter Henry Architect, David F. Garrett Architects, and DSRA Architecture. (starting on page 24 here)
Renovation budget is approximately $3,300,000
Expression of Interest
Please submit a 1-page letter expressing your interest in the project which indicates:
Readiness to respond to a full Request for Proposals
Experience building arts spaces including theatres and galleries
Experience working on heritage renovations

A Request for Proposals will be sent only to the top selected respondents to the Expressions of Interest process
Collaborations between architects and architecture firms are welcome. Please indicate if you would propose a collaboration if you were selected to receive a Request for Proposals.
